Guzaarish Movie stills

Guzaarish is an upcoming film being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai will be seen in lead roles.

The movie will revolve around the story of a married nurse (Aishwarya Rai) and a quadriplegic, wheelchair-using patient Ethan (Hrithik Roshan), suffering from impairments of the motor and sensory functions of his limbs, with whom she develops an intimate bond.

Aishwarya has apparently smoked for the first time in her life and career in this film. Recalling the scene, Ash said with a smirk,

“You saw what happened to me when I attempted smoking. It’s for all to see. I coughed and almost had tears in my eyes.”
Hrithik on the contrary revealed that he took to smoking especially for this film…to get into the skin of his character.

For Hrithik, his character is one of the most difficult one ever played.
“It is one of the most difficult roles that I have essayed till date. I have not done anything so life altering before. Playing a paraplegic was traumatic.”

The film is scheduled for release on November 19, 2010…

The cast of Zoya's next movie 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' Hrithik, Katrina, Farhan, Abhay and Kalki did a photoshoot for some days ago in Mumbai near Bandra.

Zoya's next directorial venture Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara will be shot extensively in Spain.
"Countdown to Zoya's shoot has begun.

Very exciting...2 and 1/2 months in Spain with family, friends and football fever," Farhan, who is producing the film, posted on his Twitter page.
"If you liked Dil Chahta Hai and Rock On!!... you're going to love this," he added.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara stars Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol and Farhan along with Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin. The project is targeting a 2011 release.

Kites Releasing globally on May 21

Bollywood production, "Kites", the eagerly-anticipated romantic adventure starring Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori, will open simultaneously in India, the US, Canada and other countries on May 21.

The Rakesh Roshan production, directed by Anurag Basu, will be released by Reliance BIG Pictures (RBEL) on more than 2,000 screens simultaneously, including over 200 in the US, RBEL announced Thursday.

Shot completely on location in Las Vegas, Sante Fe and Los Angeles, "Kites" is a unique Bollywood film in a number of ways, not the least of which is the fact that a reworked English language version, designed to extend the reach of the original, will be launched in select engagements one week later.

Entitled "Kites: The Remix", it is being presented by Brett Ratner, who oversaw its creation. In the US, "Kites: The Remix" will be released in association with Mark Urman's Paladin, and will open in several major markets, including New York and Los Angeles, for the Memorial Day holiday weekend beginning May 28.

Produced on an epic scale, and set primarily against the lavish backdrop of Las Vegas, "Kites" tells the story of two star-crossed lovers who are destined to be together even though each is betrothed to another.

Reliance BIG Pictures CEO, Sanjeev Lamba, commented "'Kites' is a very important film for Reliance with a story that has international appeal. By releasing the original Hindi version and Brett Ratner's 'Remix' a week apart, we feel that we can reach the largest possible audience, including the younger demographic for whom 2+ hours is a challenge".

SRK-KJo to host IPL Awards

Shahrukh Khan and Karan Johar have co-hosted many Bollywood award functions in the past and now for the first time ever the duo will be seen hosting the grand IPL Awards scheduled to take place on April 23rd in Mumbai this year. The announcement was made by IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi at a function in Mumbai yesterday.



With the whole nation being gripped by the IPL frenzy, the organizers have decided to come up with the first ever IPL Awards which will recognize the best performances and honour the best players of the IPL. Some of the categories are Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder, Best IPL Debutante, Most Consistent Performer, Most Dramatic Performance and Breakthrough Performance.

The evening will be a fusion of cricketing and entertainment excellence, with some of India's biggest names, including AR Rahman, Shilpa Shetty, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Hrithik Roshan, set to deliver their trademark energy and style. Besides, the event will also feature performances by some leading cricketers, who will show they are equally talented off the field too.

The winners in these categories will be selected by an esteemed jury comprising of Lalit Modi, Sunil Gavaskar, Brian Lara, Harsha Bhogle, Javagal Srinath and umpire Simon Taufel. Apart from the jury awards there is also a separate section for the Viewers' Choice Awards where cricket fans will get to vote for their favorite performers from the IPL.

Katrina Kaif to romance Hrithik on screen

Thanks to Zoya Akhtar's next, Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan will be sharing sizzling chemistry for the first time on silver screen. The buzz doing the round is that Zoya wants a steamy intimate scene between the lead pair and she has already told Kat about it before shooting.


The scene will shot in a bar where Katrina will be seen seducing the perfectionist hunk.


Zoya Akhtar's all-boy flick features Hrithik Roshan, brother Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol but will have only hotties Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin.


Katrina's nod for the sensual scene comes as a complete contradiction to her earlier statement where she proclaimed that she would sign all her future films with no-exposure, no-kissing clause only.


Her ‘no kiss, no exposure pact’ forced director Tarun Mansukhani and producer Karan Johar to spice up John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan's chemistry in Dostana 2. It's learnt that they are confused about Kat's look for the sequel which shifts the story from Miami to London.


Designer Manish Malhotra along with Tarun and Karan are brainstorming to come up with an uber chic look for Katrina - something which isn't very revealing, yet is sensuous.


Clearly it was Hrithik's magic that made Kat change her mind. Way to go Duggu!

Barbara mori slapped Hrithik

“Shooting for the movie Kites was total fun” says the director Anurag Basu. He recalled an incident where Barbara tried to play a prank on Hrithik. The actress slapped Hrithik for a particular sequence and the director okayed it. But she asked the director for a retake as she wanted to slap Hrithik again.:P

Hrithik was taken aback when the director asked for a retake when he had already okayed it not long ago. When the retake actually begun, Hrithik smelled a rat and slapped Barbara instead. He shocked his co-star for her prank and the unit of the film had a good laughter over it.

Maybe all the rumours between Hrithik and Barbara be having an affair during the shooting of started because of their wonderful chemistry.

Love scenes deleted from Kites’s India release

We will not get to see the hot action between Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori in their upcoming movie Kites, as director Rakesh Roshan has chopped off the steamy scenes for the Hindi version of the movie, however the hot action can be seen by overseas audience in Kites English version. Incidentally the suggestion was made by Kites English version editor Brett Ratner.

An insider fron the production house says, “The film has an English as well as a Hindi version. As the intimate scenes between Hrithik and Barbara are way too bold for the Indian audience, Brett asked Rakesh Roshan to either completely delete or at least water down the passionate scenes in the Hindi version.”

The source adds, “Brett Ratner was especially called to re-edit Kites. He was got in to cater to the international audience. Being an expert, Ratner gave his suggestion as he understands the mindset of the Indian audience very well. Also, the intimate scenes between Hrithik and Barbara should not become the talk of the town especially after rumours of their alleged affair. Rakesh Roshan is now making the necessary changes.”

Director Rakesh Roshan confirmed the news and said, My films are made for a family audience. There are no intimate or lovemaking scenes in Kites.”

Kites starring Hrithik Roshan, Barbara Mori and Kangana Ranaut releases in mid-May.

Is Hrithik Roshan’s Kites jinxed?

It has been more almost two years since Jodhaa Akbar hit the theatres in February 2008 and baring a small role in the movie Luck By Chance, Hrithik Roshan hasn’t been seen on-screen.

His much publicised movie Kites with Barbara Mori which was supposed to hit the theatres last year hasn’t seen light of the day as yet. A bad spell seems to have been cast around the Anurag Basu directed movie as it continues to be delayed.

Kites was supposed to launch Hrithik as an international star and thus the movie will have a international version too. The movie premièred at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009 where Hrithik walked the red carpet along with Mori. But if sources close to the Roshans are to be believed the team isn’t still done with the editing. They had approached Raj Kumar Hirani for editing the movie but he turned down the offer due to prior commitments

If this wasn’t enough there seems to be differences between director Anurag Basu and producer Rakesh Roshan. The Life In A Metro director has in fact come out in open and accepted his differences with Roshan senior. Basu even went on to say that he did not have creative differences with Roshan but they were professional in nature. Basu who is critically rated very high as a director doesn’t seem comfortable working with his producer any more.

And who can forget the much publicised turmoil in Hrithik’s personal life due to his alleged extra marital affair with Barbara Mori. There were rumours that Suzanne Roshan had left the house with her two kids last year after Hrithik refused to mend his ways. The actor was getting too close to Mexican babe Barbara Mori for Suzanne to feel comfortable. Hrithik had hurried home from abroad and convinced Suzanne to return home.

All said and done, Kites hasn’t been the best of experiences for Roshans and the entire team including Anurag Basu and Barbara Mori will breathe a sigh of relief once the movie hits the theatres.

There were rumours of an affair between Barbara Mori and Hrithik Roshan due to which it was said that Hrithik's wife Suzanne walked out of their home with her children. The rumours were dismissed by the Roshan family.

Not many know that Hrithik Roshan used to stammer when he was young. Hrithik also has six fingers which can be seen in one of the photos. At the hospital, Hrithik met Dr. Ramesh Oza who had successfully treated him for his speech impairment at the age of 14.
